"You can get past the dead end. You can break through the ceiling. I did and so have countless others."
In this episode, Justin is joined by Misty Ford, a family nurse practitioner who has spent years building successful clinics for other providers and is now preparing to launch a wellness practice of her own.
Together, they work through everything from choosing the right services and creating a brand that clearly communicates value, to finding effective ways to market the practice and connect with the right patients. They also discuss why focusing on complementary services, instead of trying to offer everything, can create a stronger patient experience and a more sustainable business.
Whether you’re preparing to open your first practice or refining your vision before launch, this conversation is full of practical ideas for building a business that’s focused, memorable, and positioned for long-term growth.

Unknown
You do not have to work 50 to 60 hours a week. There is a different way. I’m here to show you that path. This podcast is written for. I have not talked to the nurse practitioners of this podcast prior to the call. Outside of an email exchange to schedule the episode. What you’re about to listen to is a consultation session between the nurse practitioner and myself.
00:01:09:03 – 00:01:31:00

It is real. Is it scripted? It is unplanned. I have no idea what we’re going to talk about. Anything and everything can happen. During our conversation, the nurse practitioner. These episodes are struggling with an issue in their professional or financial life. They have reached out to me for help. My goal is to help the nurse practitioner with actionable advice that will enhance their professional, business and financial life.
00:01:31:01 – 00:01:55:11
Unknown
My other goal is to hopefully help my nurse practitioner, sisters and brothers build a more productive, powerful and free life. So I hope the content information within these podcast episodes does just that. All right unto the. Everyone today will be talking to Misty, who is a family nurse practitioner. Currently, she’s finishing up a contract at an integrative medicine clinic so she can focus on her own business.
00:01:55:13 – 00:02:12:07
Unknown
She is getting ready to open up her own mobile practice will, where she will be offering a variety of different wellness services. Teaching assistants with Mary in her service line, how to grow the business and how to break free from the employment rat race. It was the area. I’m doing great. Yes. Thank you for having me. Yeah. For sure.
00:02:12:09 – 00:02:36:15
Unknown
Yeah. Thanks for hopping on here on a Sunday afternoon. So, Yeah. All right. Tell us about yourself. How you been nurse practitioner forward and what you’ve been up to. So I was a nurse since 2007. Worked in the emergency department until 2015. I’ve become a nurse practitioner. And, for the first two years, it was straight into pediatric gastroenterology, which it was just the first job I could get because we are very saturated.
00:02:36:15 – 00:03:03:12
Unknown
I live in, Tennessee, so I’m in Maryville, Tennessee. So it’s a lot of nurse practitioners around here. So I started working at a children’s hospital. Found out that is not and I mean, I never like to do pediatrics. Anyways, I worked in the E.R.. We always punted pediatrics, so it was a huge learning curve. I worked for, you know, a place where I was going to take call for Nikki Babies, and I’m like, I’m family.
00:03:03:12 – 00:03:26:20
Unknown
Like, this is crazy. I need to get out of this. So finally got out, went to an integrated clinic at a chiropractic office. So it was a completely different field. Learned how, you know, basically, at first I was a patient there and I had migraines, so they were able to get me off a lot of migraine treatment medications, which are some holistic treatment.
00:03:26:22 – 00:03:52:10
Unknown
Loved it. Then they, you know, asked me to come work for them. So I did work for them for about 5 to 6 years. Then I eventually left there, went and opened up a clinic within a clinic at another chiropractic office and basically built it from scratch. There was no nurse practitioners or medical people. It was all chiropractors and physical therapists, so started from nothing.
00:03:52:12 – 00:04:18:02
Unknown
Built it into a very profitable clinic. We did weight loss. We did physical, you know, physical medicine. So joint injections, HLA injections, stem cell injections, PRP then ended up doing allergy clinic, then did an IB therapy clinic and then a testosterone clinic, all from your classes. So I was able to do that Ivy therapy, the testosterone clinic, and the female hormone clinic.
00:04:18:02 – 00:04:40:10
Unknown
After listening to your your stuff and taking your classes, which was very easy to integrate after I went through those classes because I had no idea about this stuff. You know, we’re not really taught that in nurse practitioner school, so it was very easy to integrate. But basically working for someone else, you know, it was an 80, 20 model.
00:04:40:10 – 00:05:05:22
Unknown
Whatever profits we got, I got 20% of it. And then basic salary, and it was just a ceiling. I couldn’t ever get past that ceiling. And then having to, that they really don’t know how to really work with, nurse practitioners. So it was just basically I had to, you know, I have all these ideas and they couldn’t come to fruition because I was having to go through them.
00:05:06:00 – 00:05:27:12
Unknown
So I decided that this is not the way, you know, the way I want to practice anymore. And I ended up resigning. So working out a 60 day notice and I know I can do this on my own, it’s just getting it going is a little scary. Yeah. And I do want to do a mobile clinic. I don’t think there’s a lot of.
00:05:27:17 – 00:05:55:19
Unknown
Well, I know there’s no mobile clinics around here. There is a testosterone clinic that is in about 20 miles away from here. And I don’t think they do mobile. I think they just have a wrapped vehicle outside of their, their office. So really that’s the only competition besides primary care physicians, I do want to do cash based. Currently we’re bringing in about 30,000 in cash where my job is now.
00:05:55:19 – 00:06:15:08
Unknown
So I’m just sort of ready to hit the ground running, you know, hit the ground running. I know that your model says keep your full time job. Well, I sort of screwed that. So after I was reading your book, I was like, oh shit, I got to do that. But, it is what it is. I think I can do, I know I can do it.
00:06:15:08 – 00:06:33:01
Unknown
It’s just it’s just doing it now. Yeah. Before we hopped on the call, you know, you kind of just briefly told me just real quick kind of what you were doing. That was kind of my first thought. I was like, you. You’re leaving your jobs to focus on a business you haven’t started yet. You know, that’s kind of a red flag to me.
00:06:33:01 – 00:06:58:03
Unknown
So let’s start there first. So, you know, thanks for the pretty detailed introduction. So I think we pretty much know, you know, where you’re at. But in terms of, like, your just financial stability goals, are you? I’m assuming your husband does pretty well. You guys aren’t going to have to worry too much about money, correct? I mean, it is going to be a little bit of a strap, just, you know, losing my income off of it.
00:06:58:03 – 00:07:19:22
Unknown
But I do have a pretty good severance package. That was I negotiated when I started, that was four months of pay. So. Or and I have sent them a, proposal that they just give me all my patients and they can keep this overnight so I can get a huge severance package and just start everything on my own.
00:07:19:22 – 00:07:39:20
Unknown
But I have to, like, focus on ten mile radius, for non-compete and stuff. Or they can just give me my patients, and I can start hit the ground running with those patients. So it just sort of depends on what they decide to do. If I was you, I would negotiate heavily for those patients. Yeah. That’s what I mean.
00:07:39:20 – 00:08:01:13
Unknown
I’m thinking I did of I already hired the attorney. You know I did put in a negotiation. So I’m just sort of they’re all been on vacation and there’s three owners which is crazy. So it’s hard to get anything accomplished. So we’ll see how that goes in the next few weeks okay. So try negotiate that if you can.
00:08:01:13 – 00:08:21:17
Unknown
Okay. Try to make that your priority because that’s going to basically allow your business to start, you know, with with profit you know, revenue invasion. So I would definitely if I was you, I would really try to I try to hammer that one home. Okay. So you have experience building a clinic. It just wasn’t yours. So you.
00:08:21:19 – 00:08:41:05
Unknown
Yeah. So you’re coming into this pretty confident. You had the experience. You’ve done it. You had the clinical skills. You have a lot of the business skills. You know, I think the only difference here is going to be for the first time, though, you’re going to have to this is actually going to be yours 100%. Okay.
00:08:41:05 – 00:09:01:08
Unknown
So so it will change a little bit the dynamic going into this because it’s ultimately your risk right. Not really someone else I mean, you you were basically acting as a consultant more or less helping them start this business is kind of right. Did you know this time? No. It’s yours. So, you know, just make sure that you go into this, confidently.
00:09:01:08 – 00:09:21:00
Unknown
And don’t don’t try to let don’t don’t try to have it be over your head. Don’t have a hanging over your head to where it might prevent you from doing the things that you need to do to succeed. All right. I mean, you’ve already done it before, so you know what to do. So don’t allow the any kind of fear or anything like that to to change this because it’s yours now.
00:09:21:00 – 00:09:50:06
Unknown
Right. So, certainly keep in mind now let’s talk about the actual, the nitty gritty here. So mobile I’m not a huge fan of mobile. So why do you want to go mobile? We just don’t have it around here. And really, I don’t even know where this idea came from. I can so we. I live in Maryville, Tennessee, so it is probably 160,000 people in this area.
00:09:50:06 – 00:10:11:15
Unknown
Then there’s Knoxville, which is, I think I looked it up a minute ago like, total of 640,000 people. So, you know, I don’t even really know about that. Many mobile clinics in the any of the surrounding areas. And maybe that’s because it doesn’t work. I don’t know, but I have an RNN that’s coming with me.
00:10:11:17 – 00:10:33:17
Unknown
So I had four employees at my previous job or my current job, and they’re all leaving because I’m leaving. So one of them’s coming with me, and I know that, you know, I know that your model is just, like, okay, with a medical assistant. Yeah. And, that can get pricey, but she’s well off. She was a current travel nurse, so she’s like, pay me as we go.
00:10:33:17 – 00:10:59:06
Unknown
Like, I’m not really working. Yeah. So it’s not like somebody that has to have, like, money, right, man. So she knows we’re just building this and she believes in me. She’s watched me do it, so she’s all on board. So the money aspect, I don’t know. I, I have seen, you know, some TikToks of some, like, esthetic clinics out in Tampa and, I don’t know, it’s just cool.
00:10:59:06 – 00:11:21:20
Unknown
Again, it’s just I want to get one of those Mercedes and just gut it and deck it out like those, you know, ladies do. And, that I’ve seen anyways. And I don’t know, I just feel like that’s, that’s a niche that is not around this market. So I graduate from severe county high school. I’m, I’m no, no you’re not.
00:11:21:21 – 00:11:46:06
Unknown
Oh my gosh that’s crazy. Yeah yeah. Super small world right. So I’m like literally anyone listening to this like I literally grew up a county over from from Misty. So that’s insane. Yeah. Yeah. So I’m very familiar with that area. Okay. There’s a million plus people within a 30 minute drive of where you’re at. Yeah. Okay.
00:11:46:06 – 00:12:07:20
Unknown
So, you know, you got Maryville, and then you have all Sevier County and then Knox County. I mean, there is a million plus people right there. It’s a very dense area, like, it seems rural, but it’s not at all, you know, like when I moved out west, I finally realized what actual rule means. Like, there’s nothing rule about Tennessee at all.
00:12:07:22 – 00:12:34:09
Unknown
Yeah. Is it? Well, no. Like, you know, in the West that you’re 50 miles from the next town, right? I mean, in Tennessee, you’re five miles an hour drive around. You’re all kinds of places. Exactly. Yeah. So, like, there’s really nowhere rule on the East Coast. Really. So anyways, there’s a lot of people there. Now the diff.
00:12:34:09 – 00:12:59:07
Unknown
So Florida, you see these mobile clinics with these big cities and all this stuff. Is there a market for that in Tennessee, maybe. Yeah. I mean, there’s definitely there’s people who have money there for sure. Yeah. You know, so, the mobile aspect of this, I am not a fan of mobile because it significantly reduces the volume of patients that you can see.
00:12:59:11 – 00:13:21:10
Unknown
Okay. You are limited by how many. But but how long does it take you to drive to the next patient? Okay. Right. You are very limited with how many people you can actually see because you got to drive over here 30 minutes over here and then 20 minutes over there. So in a in in a day you’ll be able to see 4 to 6 people, right?
00:13:21:10 – 00:13:41:09
Unknown
Okay. You know, occasion you can see four people an hour. Yeah. So I, I have thought of that so I okay. This was more of a hybrid model. I guess I should have started out with that. So I was thinking of having a office and it depends on whether I want to do it in Knoxville, depending on, you know, the contract, the non-compete.
00:13:41:09 – 00:14:03:01
Unknown
If they end up giving me the patients that are there, I have an immediate 50 to 60 patients that I see currently on subscription models. So it’s, you know, pretty immediate. So I was looking so I just finished your telehealth, whatever video. So I just finished that. I just set up my own home office. So I’ve got that going.
00:14:03:06 – 00:14:23:16
Unknown
So in, in a way, I was thinking of having like a one room, there’s a physical therapist office in Knoxville that she’s looking at renting me space. So I was thinking of having an office space there, which is not big, which is, you know, I don’t know, maybe 150ft². And then the mobile unit and my nurse actually utilizes the mobile unit.
00:14:23:16 – 00:14:50:11
Unknown
So she goes and she travels around to deliver whatever care that needs to be delivered by I.V. therapies or esthetics or whatever. And then and I don’t know, like legality wise, like if I can just hop on a telehealth visit while she’s going, if I need to, I mean, I did look up the, the nurse practitioner roles in Tennessee and right now even testosterone, which I didn’t even realize this.
00:14:50:16 – 00:15:15:08
Unknown
You don’t have to have an in-person visit until December 26th, and then, you know, who knows what happens after that. So, I don’t know. I was thinking of running out of that business. Plus her using the mobile clinic. And then we I see ourselves going because she’s a cyclist. So she is a, she’s got a lot of, you know, friends in all of these groups.
00:15:15:10 – 00:15:42:05
Unknown
So we were thinking about going and hitting up all of these different events on the weekends with our bus, more of a marketing tool, so as in to get more people. So we did calculate I need to have about 120 people on subscriptions of some sort. I think it’s doable. Like I really yeah. I mean because that would give me my current pay plus her an additional 30 K.
00:15:42:07 – 00:16:03:06
Unknown
Yeah. Yeah. And and 20s. Yeah. I mean 120 people I, you know, images for you know, $200 a month. I mean yeah, yeah. And and a lot of that as you know, as you know like weight loss I mean right now my current patients are paying about 500 a month. Yeah. I mean, you could even you charge less and still get good money, right.
00:16:03:07 – 00:16:19:18
Unknown
Yeah. Okay. So then all right. So that changes a little bit. So, so yeah, you had the, you had a physical location where you can do telemedicine visits. People can come in for whatever. Then you have the mobile clinic for IB and esthetics. That’s pretty much it. Right? I mean, they, you know, we want you to come to their house for any.
00:16:19:20 – 00:16:42:11
Unknown
No, no, I would just do that. Yeah. I mean, you’re going to go to someone’s health events or something. Yeah. Yeah, I’m, I’m sure I don’t, I don’t know, but, hey, I love learning. Doesn’t mean I can’t learn it. Yeah. You’ve got course on it. Pilates work. Yeah. A lot of women like Pilates. But it’s not the most often we deliver HRT, but a lot of people like it, so whatever.
00:16:42:11 – 00:17:04:01
Unknown
Yes. Good. Margins are good. So then. Okay, so. Yeah, I think that work. I mean, if you can get in, you know, into some events like cycling events, marathons, etc., you have an IB tent there or whatever. Yeah, sure. You know, if if people are willing to pay a premium to have an IB done at their house, then sure do it, you know.
00:17:04:01 – 00:17:22:21
Unknown
Yeah, same thing with the esthetics. But like make sure that you charge enough to truly justify that cost. Right. You know, if you go to an IB clinic and it’s 150 bucks for an IV, you know, if you’re going to drive their house, it’s two 5300. You know what I think? So yeah. To justify it. Yeah. Okay.
00:17:22:21 – 00:17:47:01
Unknown
So I think that would work. Now the question is where do you want the location? So you said you had, you said you have a non-compete and potentially and then you also said that you have someone who might be able to give you a little space in Knoxville or some room. So, with the non-compete, even if they gave you your patients and they allow you to go wherever cool, you need to do it there.
00:17:47:06 – 00:18:05:18
Unknown
Okay. Yeah. Because I have a feeling it’s going to be a lot less saturated in the Merrillville area blood County area than it is going to be in Knoxville. Right. So yeah. So that was one of my, stipulations was because so we just went from a 5000 square foot building to a 12,000 square foot building. So huge.
00:18:05:18 – 00:18:28:06
Unknown
But they’re renting space out. They have like eight rooms to rent out. So in my negotiations was if they give me the patient, I can still see their pain patients who may need like chortle or dexamethasone or something. And they’re not having to scramble for another nurse practitioner. I just have one of their rooms for six months and then they just let me see those patients.
00:18:28:06 – 00:19:07:13
Unknown
So there’s not a disruption in patient care. There’s, you know, it’s just basically just transitioning all of them over. So that would be probably the best scenario that happens. But we’ll see. Yeah. Oh and hold your breath there. Yeah. And you’re taking. Yeah. Yeah I mean honestly it’s probably not the greatest thing for them. But just you know, I mean, with 60 days and having to hire another nurse practitioner that has no idea about any of that stuff, I mean, it’s gonna be hard and it’s, you know, it will, but they have to fork out when you know, they’re already forked out.
00:19:07:13 – 00:19:29:21
Unknown
A lot of money. Yeah, yeah. I mean, you’re putting them in a kind of a tough spot, so I just I wouldn’t expect a whole lot here regardless. Who cares? Right. So get your patients that you can and where you can open up. So, find the place that’s the furthest away from any kind of competition, but yet still has, you know, a pretty decent population density.
00:19:29:23 – 00:20:03:03
Unknown
I mean, that’s where you need to open up. Okay. So don’t be too scared of renting your own space. You don’t like these these arrangements where you’re in a physical therapy office or, you know, a salon or whatever. You know, those places are okay when you’re just getting started. You have no cap at all. You’re having to be very frugal and cheap, and you have no patients, etc. you’ve done this before, right?
00:20:03:05 – 00:20:25:14
Unknown
If you were going to be able to walk with 50 or 60 patients, then you already have locked in revenue ready to go. Now the other question is, though, in terms of disposable income here for this project, how much do you have to invest into this business without having to worry about it? If like, let’s just say worst case scenario is you’ll lose it all.
00:20:25:18 – 00:20:54:22
Unknown
What’s what’s that amount? I mean, if it really just depends. So I mean, obviously with me losing my salary, we’re going to have to. Well, if I do get the, you know, the, severance package is 40 K. So about that. Like, that’s what I would have to get the ground running if you don’t get the severance package, though, and you have the 60 Bayesians, then how much money?
00:20:54:23 – 00:21:20:06
Unknown
Then I drop the severance package, take all of those patients with me wherever I go. And then, I mean, I, I mean, I could probably put in ten, 15,000, right? Okay. Because that’s when you have to have marketing. And that’s free for me because he’s already started with a marketer, and we’ve already got our business website built up and everything that he’s been doing on the back end prior to this launch.
00:21:20:06 – 00:21:42:14
Unknown
So I’ve been fortunate enough to not have to throw out more money for that. Okay. Yeah. So I mean, you pull $15,000 out of savings or something, right? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Okay. Because I mean, if you do take 50, 60 patients, then, you know, it’s going to take a month or two to really kind of start having some money coming in and, you know, you feel comfortable with it.
00:21:42:16 – 00:21:59:19
Unknown
And plus, I mean, you need the I mean, you need some initial capital just to get the thing started, right? I mean, you want an office space and stuff. So, so I would say that if you can have about 15,000 bucks set aside, perfect. That’s all you need, right? Do you take the severance package? You have 40,000. I mean, even better.
00:21:59:19 – 00:22:21:11
Unknown
Right? So yeah. So then find a space, a decent spot. I don’t know what rents are like in that area right now, but like, you know, a decent spot $2,000 a month, you know, if you can get away with it. Yeah. I going to go shoot a one year lease at first, nothing more than that. People are going to try to sucker you into 3 or 5 year leases and all this kind of stuff.
00:22:21:13 – 00:22:46:19
Unknown
You know, when I approach a landlord with that is that number one, if the space has been available for a long time, okay, six months or something longer, it’s been available for a while, they’re going to be more desperate. Okay. So I can see how long it’s been listed for. Yeah. If it’s if it was just listed three weeks ago, you’re not going to negotiate much, right?
00:22:46:19 – 00:23:07:01
Unknown
Okay. But if it was listed six months ago, you will have negotiating power. So you should approach them like this and be like, hey, listen, this is a brand new business. I do not know if it’s going to succeed. I cannot sign a three year lease because I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what. Do you allow me to sell a one year lease for right now?
00:23:07:01 – 00:23:30:21
Unknown
A one year lease? I will pay you the whole year in advance. I’ll pay for the full year in advance and if it’s doing well, I will sign the lease. I will renew it. There will be no problem. Do you know what I mean? Like if you say it’s, you know, if you go into it like that and you give them like a really large lump sum up front, then it really does alleviate a lot of their, their anxiety with it.
00:23:30:21 – 00:23:45:00
Unknown
Now that’s going to be that, that’s a, that’s a big check, right? Yeah. So that’s why you need to have a little bit of some money to set aside to do that. Or maybe you talk about six months or something like that, but just try to go into it and just tell them, you know, this is a new business.
00:23:45:00 – 00:24:05:16
Unknown
I would like if you catch me a give me a break here of just, you know, look new. Let me start with a year, two years at most. Try to find something. It’s already built out. Now, your husband owns a construction company. So if it’s, let’s say you find a spot, it’s just a blank shell. Yeah. Then, I mean, it sounds like your husband.
00:24:05:18 – 00:24:27:20
Unknown
He didn’t, you know, probably build something out. Pretty simple. Pretty cheap, right? Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, I would I would try to find something that’s already built out. It it can something. It’s already set up kind of what you need. Maybe a little bit of renovation or something. But if it’s, if it’s a complete build out, then, it’s going to get, it’s gonna be a little bit more expensive once.
00:24:27:20 – 00:24:52:14
Unknown
I don’t know that. Do you think that I would need. Sorry. What was that? What type? What amount of square footage do you think I would need for something like startup? I mean, for a clinic like this? Yeah. Thousand square feet. You know, I mean, I wouldn’t get more than 2000 for sure. That’s just. Yeah, that’s just.
00:24:52:14 – 00:25:16:10
Unknown
You don’t need that right now. The majority of your patients maybe tell a med, you know, I mean, the only reason why you need a clinic really is have a presence somewhere. Some people will want to be seen in person. IVs, esthetics, procedures. That’s really it. Otherwise, the majority of your visits, weight loss, HRT, etc. most that’s limited, right?
00:25:16:10 – 00:25:42:04
Unknown
So, you know, my men’s health clinic, we we have two locations, and each one’s only, I think one’s 1000 square foot, the other one’s 1200 square feet. Okay. We’ve had the same place for five, six years, and we have zero desire. Naught, you know, or need to move. We just don’t. It works. Right? So, So, yeah, somewhere cheap, somewhere small, if you can potentially, you know, in a good spot.
00:25:42:06 – 00:26:06:11
Unknown
Yeah. Not too far off, you know? Yeah. So it just. I think you shop around, target your own spot because you’ve done this before. It sounds like there is demand in your area for these services. So chances are you probably will do. Okay. All right. So you want something that you can grow into a little small office that you’re renting from someone?
00:26:06:12 – 00:26:25:01
Unknown
It’s hard to grow into that. It’s a pain in the ass to move. Yeah. You know, because now you’re potentially. Let’s say you rent this spot from a physical therapist or whatever. Not too all right, I don’t know where it’s at in Knoxville, but, like. So you rent that spot, and a year later, you’re like, this place is driving me insane.
00:26:25:01 – 00:26:47:06
Unknown
It’s way too small. We’ve outgrown this. We got to get out of here. And you try to rent something in that same area. Maybe there’s nothing available. Maybe it’s way too expensive. And then you have to switch to a different area, and, you know, then why all your patients that you built in that one area and have to drive across town over here, you’re going to lose patients.
00:26:47:06 – 00:27:11:07
Unknown
So try find something growing. Do I agree? Yeah. And, you know, to be cheap with it, you can furnish these things. Facebook marketplace. I mean, you’d be amazed how much you can just get so cheap. There’s those free that there’s a Facebook groups where it’s like, free stuff. People just, like, listed here. If you come pick it up, it’s yours.
00:27:11:12 – 00:27:32:07
Unknown
Yeah. And you find couches and chairs and all kinds of stuff. You really be pretty frugal here if you want. And. And it’s to be nice. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Anyways, that’s that, you know, that’s the location kind of aspect of it now in terms of your service line, because I know you want to talk about that.
00:27:32:08 – 00:27:54:00
Unknown
Yeah. So tell me what what are you offer and kind of what you’re what you’re concerned. Okay. So I definitely want to do the weight loss. That’s going to be the number one thing weight loss and testosterone. But then also I have a bunch of female hormone patients because a lot of the ObGyn don’t do hormones around here.
00:27:54:02 – 00:28:21:10
Unknown
They don’t believe in it or whatever. And so I want to, you know, probably do that. And then the IV therapy and the C, this is where I get crazy because I have offered so many things for so long. Like I, you know, I can do joint injections and, you know, sick visits and blah, blah, blah. But I know that you, you know, you said we want to make it a niche service.
00:28:21:12 – 00:28:43:14
Unknown
So not just sort of throwing it all into one. So I don’t know really where to start with that then. I mean, is that too many services for a mobile unit and telehealth, I mean, is it should I start one business and then grow off of it? Because I have those experiences and all of them.
00:28:43:16 – 00:29:01:19

00:29:41:07 – 00:30:03:00
Unknown
Well, yeah. I mean, you don’t want to throw away your, you know, throw away your skills, right? And I get bored easy. So I have to have lots of. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So just think about what’s, what’s what’s complimentary here. So it’s a wellness clinic. HRT is a no brainer. Okay? I mean, that’s you’d be a fool not to.
00:30:03:04 – 00:30:23:06
Unknown
Yeah. So HRT absolutely weight loss. Why not? It’s easy. It’s. The margins are great. It’s not. As you know, it’s not as much of a moneymaker as it used to be, you know? Yeah. I mean, so many people are doing it now, but still offered. Why not? Yeah. They either need it from you or someone else. So, so you’re gonna do that?
00:30:23:08 – 00:30:45:06
Unknown
Fine. I.T infusion, vitamin injections, etc.. You know, it’s complimentary. It’s a great upsell for you. Do your HRT patients a weight loss patients. So. Sure. Why not? Peptides. Yeah. Why not? It’s complimentary. You know, I mean, I’d say probably 25% of my mental patients are on a peptide at any given time, you know, test them. I mean, I got to test them all.
00:30:45:06 – 00:31:12:08
Unknown
And right now it’s great. Yeah. Great. Great peptide. Right. So yeah, you know, all those things are a no brainer esthetics. So the aura that you have is talented and can do this stuff. Yep. Okay. Why not. It came into it you know it’s an upsell to all of your patients HRT whatever. I mean you have someone who comes in.
00:31:12:10 – 00:31:30:19
Unknown
Yeah. And they’re mid 40s, early 50s and you say you know hey I know she had some wrinkles right here. Whatever. You know, we could do some Botox on you to clear that up. I mean, it’s it’s an easy upsell. Yeah. That’s what I was thinking. Sort of. I mean, I would like just had it when I went somewhere, so I’d probably buy it.
00:31:30:21 – 00:32:00:14
Unknown
Right, right. You know. So why not? Yeah. I just didn’t want it to be because I know that some of your stuff there that you don’t want to look cheap because you’re like an all in one thing. And so I definitely don’t want to do that. But now when I said that, what I mean by that is that you offer things that just don’t complement each other, okay?
00:32:00:16 – 00:32:25:14
Unknown
What you’re talking about doing is called a wellness. Yeah. It’s wellness. Right? It’s wellness medicine. You can call it integrative medicine. If you wanted to. You know, for the most part if you add a little functional net or whatever into it, but like that’s what that is that it that is a niche. Okay. When what I mean by, you know, what I said is that, you know, jack of all trades, master at none kind of a thing, right?
00:32:25:16 – 00:32:50:06
Unknown
What I mean is that you offer HRT, you offer Suboxone. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. What doesn’t make sense together. And there’s a lot of practices that do that. Yeah. So, they just they offer Suboxone on top of everything else they offer, you know, or, you know, just some random thing, you know, it’s just it doesn’t compliment at all.
00:32:50:10 – 00:33:10:16
Unknown
Right? Sick visits. Don’t put sick visits on your website. No, I was think it for like patients that may be already my patient because that’s what I do for them now. Like if they’ve got an ear infection or something, just go ahead. And why not? Correct. So why not? I do the same thing with my mental patients. Okay.
00:33:10:17 – 00:33:27:13
Unknown
Yeah. You know, like hey man, my you know, my my kid just tested positive for strep. My throat hurts. Yeah, sure. I don’t need to see you here. Just send in your okay for five days or whatever. Right? Right. Yeah. Same thing with some basic primary care stuff offered to your patients. It’s a great value add, you know.
00:33:27:13 – 00:33:45:10
Unknown
Eight. Yeah. Every time you coming. But precious little. Hi. Let me go ahead and start you on and load a pin or something. Right. You know, it’s never right. Okay. Now, if you wanted to do more primary care kind of stuff. No, no, no. Okay. If you don’t want to. Yeah. I don’t want nothing to do with that.
00:33:45:12 – 00:34:13:10
Unknown
All right? I’ll gotta say, you could offer some concierge kind of services if you wanted to. Yeah, you would, you know, package that up as a concierge wellness package. There you have your HRT and all this kind of stuff. And I’ll also manage some of your basic primary care needs to. Yeah. I mean, very basic. Just very basic as family, like the, the, the whole, you know, primary care aspect is just I don’t like it.
00:34:13:12 – 00:34:49:23
Unknown
No. Yeah, I don’t mind. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, yeah. So you’re fine there. I don’t think there’s really any need to narrow in there now, you do have experience with the injections and stuff. Okay, so that that can muddy it a little bit. So with the injections, right. Joint injections etc. from an anti-aging standpoint, wellness standpoint, you know, treating very active individuals, popping a stem cell injection into them, higher, higher higher chronic acid, PRP, things like that.
00:34:50:01 – 00:35:14:06
Unknown
It still does compliment. Yeah okay. Okay. So on your website you would just say something like joint health, joint okay longevity or something like that. Okay. And you would list out I am you know we offer these things as well. Okay. I throw it out there. Why not. You know. Yeah I mean if you sell a patient every couple months, I mean, it’s 5000 bucks or something, you know?
00:35:14:06 – 00:35:38:03
Unknown
Yeah, yeah. And especially if, if our market is like going to these cycling events and, you know, taking the bus out there, I just feel like that was maybe a and a good niche to go in to saying, hey, well your knees hurt, you know. Well let’s do, you know, some hyaluronic acid or whatever PRP you know. So I just thought and maybe that into the wellness.
00:35:38:03 – 00:36:01:02
Unknown
So yeah. Yeah yeah yeah. Do it because, you know, I’m, I’m 42. All right. I’m someone who has some disposable income, and, I in the next 5 to 10 years, I will be I will be someone who will be like, if I was in your area, I would. And if I was a patient of yours, I’d be like, yeah, yeah, hit the shoulder with some PR people.
00:36:01:03 – 00:36:27:03
Unknown
Yeah. You know what I mean? I would 100% pay for that. You know, we understand that pain, right? I have a lot of patient base that once I know they find where I went, they’ll come to me like, I have no idea. I mean, I have, yeah, I think they will. Not that I’m going to look for them because I’m not that I do think that they’ll find me because I have a lot of, you know, people that come back for PRP every couple of years.
00:36:27:05 – 00:37:06:13
Unknown
And this has been going on ten years. So, yeah, go find you probably. Yeah, yeah. I think, you know, so yeah. Okay. I would say services though, I would say that’s it. So we’re doing that. You don’t need to offer anything else. Okay. That’s, that’s planning enough. All right. So yeah. And then the question is, you know, how do you market this, like, I guess, how do you make your outside perception, something that’s obvious, like so and so by that, I mean, you know, when someone looks, looks on Google or whatever and they see your practice, they should know, what is it you do?
00:37:06:14 – 00:37:36:03
Unknown
So have you got a name yet? Yeah. It’s, peptides, weight loss and wellness. That’s it. Now it’s a but I mean, on my website I do have like mobile clinic. But I haven’t, like, we’re just now starting to build it out. So I do think I need to put something like mobile or additional. No. Any of that is that’s a big I would I mean it’s a long, you know, name already.
00:37:36:05 – 00:37:45:13
Unknown
Yeah. No I wouldn’t okay. Now peptides weight loss and wellness.
00:37:45:15 – 00:37:49:21
Unknown
I think.
00:37:49:23 – 00:38:08:05
Unknown
Yeah. I feel like hormones should be in there. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Have you registered this yet? No, no, we’re still, we’re fixing to make the LLC here this coming week, right?
00:38:08:07 – 00:38:30:09
Unknown
Yeah, I think I would, I think I would add hormones to that. I think something like hormones, hormones and weight loss and or hormones like weight loss and. Well, or something like that, you’re going to make so much more of my off air and peptide. So like, yeah. Okay. Peptides the thing, you know. Yeah. Or you could just do something very simple.
00:38:30:11 – 00:39:01:16
Unknown
Okay. Something wellness. Okay. Misty. Wellness, you know, something like that. Some very misty mountain wellness, you know? Sounds like a spa. Misty. Me. Misty now. Woo woo. Yeah. I’m going to see. Are you, Anyways, though, like, something just like that. Blank wellness. Okay. And then the subheading below it. Hormone replacement therapy. Peptides. Weight loss esthetics, eye fusion.
00:39:01:17 – 00:39:22:06
Unknown
You know, something like that. It doesn’t sound as generic, you know. Yeah. And and that’s fine. So your Google business listing can literally you can just be like blank wellness okay. Hyphen HRT but a little luck okay. Oh it’s pretty easy for people to know. And when I went on your website, the top of that could just be the name.
00:39:22:08 – 00:39:44:19
Unknown
And then a subheading which is the services. Are I the whole mobile aspect. Don’t put that in your name. It’s not necessary. I’m telling you, you’re not going mobile will not be the moneymaker. You right. Okay. Is it possible that it is? And I’m, you know, and I’m full of shit right now. That’s that’s possible. Okay. But like, chances are probably not.
00:39:44:21 – 00:40:07:01
Unknown
Yeah, I feel like it’s probably going to be more of a, I don’t know, just a, like a banner at all of these different spaces we’re going to go to on the weekends for like the runners of the cyclists and, you know. Yeah, it’s just, it’s just the tides out of the mobile unit. Can you, can you can you sail that tides out of a unit?
00:40:07:01 – 00:40:30:09
Unknown
Like. I don’t even know. Can you me mad? The problem with that’s going to be if you get them from a compounding pharmacy, they’re being sent to you and they’re going to be patient specific. Okay, so then you’re not going to be able to do that, right? You have to order them from a lab and like bulk and you can dispense them.
00:40:30:09 – 00:40:49:21
Unknown
So I do have a lab I use out of Florida that it’s 99% purity for peptides. So okay, I’m using them and I send them in bulk. It’s a lot of money at one time. But yeah. Oh okay. Well yeah. And yeah I mean just use them then and just have them send out, you know just order whatever the BP small and whatever.
00:40:49:21 – 00:41:07:01
Unknown
Right. And then yeah, you should be able to just sell those out of your out of a tent for sure. You know, just a quick documentation sort of a thing follow up within two months, blah blah blah. Whatever you choose, dispense it to him right out of there. I, I don’t see an issue with that. Yeah. And then you do the infusions out those tents.
00:41:07:03 – 00:41:24:10
Unknown
Yeah. I would bring maybe some steroids with you, some dexamethasone, stuff like that, you know, toward all, yeah, that’s how I would do it and then go there. I mean, I guarantee you, every time you go there, you will get patients, no question about it. Yeah. So we’ve been going to a few events already, just me and my nurse.
00:41:24:10 – 00:41:53:14
Unknown
And like there’s a lot of people that are already like, oh, I can’t wait for you to open up. Like, I mean, these women, you know, we went to a physical therapist cycling event recently, and there was probably 30 women there, and 20 of them were very interested in hormones. And I’m like, perfect. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I feel like the more I can get out there and talk about it and educate people on it, you know, felt like we could probably sell this stuff pretty quickly.
00:41:53:16 – 00:42:15:05
Unknown
Easy. Now when you go to these events, you don’t just put blank wellness on the tent or whatever. Yeah, I would do is you want to hit their pain point. Yeah. Okay. The pain point for anyone going to a marathon or a cycling event or whatever, the pain point for anyone over the age of 40 is going to be they’re hurting right there.
00:42:15:05 – 00:42:35:22
Unknown
Their their recovery is shit. Yeah. Like what? I mean, so you put a banner, say, you know, pain one increase recovery. Just be a little you know just be creative with it. Hit their pain points that way when they see the when they see your tent, they know what it is. You’re kind of doing. Right. And yeah, treat them, you know.
00:42:35:22 – 00:42:56:22
Unknown
Yeah. Okay. Yeah. If you can improve people’s recovery, decrease their pain. Oh, yeah. They’re doing it right now. They just they just are. But the thing is, it’s just HRT alone is not going to do that, right? No. Yeah. It helps. I mean, it helps, no question about it. But it’s not the cure all, you know, for you know, for it.
00:42:56:22 – 00:43:14:23
Unknown
So then you add some peptides, you do an injection, you do these different things and, and. Yeah. It’s I’ve been doing it for ten years, so, I don’t, I don’t see any problem with myself doing it. I get yeah, sort of do it like the back of your hand, you know. Yeah, yeah. Now leverage. Yeah, yeah.
00:43:15:03 – 00:43:35:07
Unknown
And thanks to your courses, all of the additional peptides and all of that stuff that we’ve been doing, like you’ve taught me what, so I appreciate it. I appreciate I’ll give you a little quick, a little quick tip to if you’re going to be treating men. All right. Nandrolone is, it’s a great add on.
00:43:35:13 – 00:44:02:08
Unknown
Okay. Yeah. Typical dosing is 2 to 1 ratio of testosterone and Andrew alone. So they’re on 100mg of test a week 50mg of nandrolone a week okay. And your testosterone. So just your abs. Yeah. Well so nandrolone lubricates the joints and it’s an inflammatory taint a bollock too. Okay. So I mean they definitely get benefit from it as well.
00:44:02:11 – 00:44:23:14
Unknown
Yeah. But yeah. So it’s either a 2 to 1 ratio if they’re on a lower dose of testosterone, you know, I would stop at about 140. So if they’re on 140mg of tests, I wouldn’t give them more than 70mg of nandrolone. Okay. Or or another rule of thumb is decrease their testosterone dose by 25%. And then just treat them with 50mg of nandrolone, essentially.
00:44:23:14 – 00:44:43:10
Unknown
And that just makes up the difference. Okay. So if they’re on 200mg sorry. Do you have a course on that? At all. Yeah, I think we talked about it in the advancement, of course I believe. But man, I’m like, I’m getting I’m just telling you, this is easy is nothing to it. All right. Yeah. I mean, I’m on, I take 60mg a week in general myself.
00:44:43:12 – 00:45:05:18
Unknown
Yeah. And I’ve been taking it for about two years now, and so I herniated l4, l5 when I was 29 years old. Okay, so I hernia that damn thing, like 14 years ago or something. Yeah. 13, 14 years ago. And every year, like clockwork, I would throw my back out and would always be doing the dumbest shit.
00:45:05:18 – 00:45:23:11
Unknown
Yeah. Like these sneeze bending over to tie my shoe. You know what I mean? Just like the dumbest thing I’d be out for a week. Like my. It was. It’s excruciating. Like people don’t understand what throwing your back out means. We should’ve done it. Yeah, you know what I mean? Like, it’s it is excruciating. It’s ten out of ten pain.
00:45:23:11 – 00:45:48:10
Unknown
It really is. You can’t do shit. Yeah, you can’t. Can you put your underwear on? It’s awful. And anyways though, so, like, every year I throw my back out every single year and about, about 3 or 4 years ago, it was happening about twice a year. I was like, damn it, man, I’m getting old. Like, we’re be one of those guys who’s throw it back out all the time because of this stupid injury.
00:45:48:12 – 00:46:09:01
Unknown
I was 29, you know what I mean? And so I started nandrolone. And in the last two years, I have not throw my bag out. I’ve changed nothing in terms of, like, my workouts. Yeah, I have not throwing my bag out. My sack has barely bothered me at all. Like, yeah, it really has been. It’s it’s been amazing.
00:46:09:01 – 00:46:32:20
Unknown
And I Aleve ibuprofen. I very rarely ever take that, you know what I mean? Yeah. So just FYI, it’s a great little add on for, for your male patients, even your female patients at a very low dose. Right. Like five milligrams a week. That’s super low dose, 5 or 10mg a week. They’ll put lean muscle mass on, they’ll recover a lot faster, their joints will improve, etc..
00:46:32:20 – 00:46:50:13
Unknown
So yeah, you know, do a little bit of due diligence, look it up, see if it’s something you’re comfortable with it from a lot of compounding pharmacies. But yeah, great at it because I thought it was nad one time and I was like, oh that’s not NAD is okay. It’s yes, it’s it’s actually a test doctor. It’s actually it’s, it’s a schedule three just like testosterone.
00:46:50:13 – 00:47:11:07
Unknown
And you know, I mean, so so yeah. Anyways though, but just a little clinical poll for you there. Yeah. Okay. So anything else you wanna talk about? I do have a question, and you may or may not know this. The. Do I have to do OSHA training for my employees when I start this? I mean, is that just like an insurance thing?
00:47:11:13 – 00:47:29:18
Unknown
Because I don’t want to I don’t I’m not going to do anything with insurance, but I was like, I’ve, I’ve never sold this for the brick and mortar for where I work now. So I didn’t know if I have to do this for. Okay. All right. I’m going to tell you what you’re supposed to do, okay? You know what I do and what a lot of people.
00:47:29:18 – 00:47:58:12
Unknown
Okay. I got though. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is it a good idea to have your employees go through OSHA training and Hipa training and stuff? Yeah. You know, I guess, I mean, I know she’s done it once. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, it’s I got you. It’s it’s it’s a CIA thing in case something happened, you know, like, let’s say that they were saying it’s a violation, something, and they’re gonna go back in there.
00:47:58:12 – 00:48:16:10
Unknown
Well, why was this? You know, where where’s the training certification for this employee? Oh, well, we don’t have one. Oh, well, you know, it just it just makes a little more liable. Mental things. Anyone that you’re hiring has gone through OSHA training or training. At one point or another, you’re hiring some 20 year old kid, you know, I mean, yeah.
00:48:16:10 – 00:48:43:08
Unknown
So I’ve never done it. I know as I worry about it, I gotcha. And what about like, should I make them AW2 or a 1099. What’s the benefit of each. Yeah I’ll just say yeah. So basically anyone listening to this, this is this is the rule. All right. If they are not making their own schedule, their W2, okay, okay.
00:48:43:10 – 00:49:04:16

If they are making their own schedule, right, then there’s going to be a 1099 supper. You know, your your nurse, your aunt is an example. Okay. If she tells you a mr.. I’ll tell you what I will work Tuesdays from 4 to 7 and then Thursdays from 1 to 5. Okay. She’s making her schedule and then you like, here’s your patients.
00:49:04:18 – 00:49:27:05
Unknown
I’m paying your production, right? Like a 1099. You should have, as there should be some contracted rate or production here. Model then. Yes, you can pay her 1099. All right. Okay. Your receptionist or medical assistant, that’s in your office. Who’s there Monday through Friday, 9 to 5. That is a W2 job. That is not ten okay, okay. Providers any if you hire another employee ten nine nine for sure have a make their own schedule.
00:49:27:05 – 00:49:44:03
Unknown
Don’t tell them they need to be here during these hours. Just have them. Hey, give me some availability. We’ll schedule patients. You know what I mean? Yeah. Same thing with yours. So. Yeah. So you can do it. Yeah. Yeah. That’s that’s the rule of thumb basically. Excellent. They make their own schedule scheduler 1099 if not their W2 okay.
00:49:44:05 – 00:50:08:18
Unknown
Yeah. Yeah. And then how do I get a medication dispensing license. Do I just go up the like how do you do that. Like like do I have any in Tennessee I don’t know I don’t know. Oh currently. Yeah that that that I am not sure. Most states you don’t need one. Okay. Most states you don’t need one.
00:50:08:20 – 00:50:34:23
Unknown
Right. Some state to do. But most states you don’t. So that would be something that you have to look up or go. The elite MP Facebook group. There are many people in Tennessee there. All right. Right. The clinic that you’re just you’re coming from, they dispense meds. I made their clinic, though. Not really. Okay, but they they don’t have a license.
00:50:35:01 – 00:51:00:21
Unknown
Probably not. All right. Yeah. So like that. Lose sleep over it. Yeah. But just to come, you know, to check, you know. Yeah. That would that still open up a pharmacy or maybe it’s typically a board of pharmacy thing. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So yeah. So just take a look at that again. You just, you only let it be Facebook group and just look it up, okay.
00:51:00:23 – 00:51:25:14
Unknown
And hell. Oh, come on now, Claude ChatGPT. Oh, yeah, I ask it, you know, like. Yeah. Okay. And do I need to add if I do RV therapy because, like, I, I mean, I have one at my clinic, but as on a, when it comes to an Ivy, if you are entering someone’s vascular system, no good idea to.
00:51:25:14 – 00:51:50:19
Unknown
Yes. Okay. Yeah. I see why a okay. You need to have a little miniature crash card kind of thing. Right. Some at the some Benadryl, some dexamethasone. An ad like you should have some very basic stuff in case something like that happens. Okay. We come through injections. I don’t worry about it as much. Okay? For something like that, you know, like I don’t tell clinic we have an EpiPen.
00:51:50:21 – 00:52:13:04
Unknown
Yeah, it’s a Benadryl with dexamethasone. Someone has allergic reaction which hit him with the EpiPen. Him some dexamethasone, some Benadryl called day. Right. We don’t have a deeper injection, but. Yeah, and I know something. I think a good idea. Let’s go. Yeah. And then obviously make sure that the nurse or whoever, make sure you make sure they stay with their ACLs and stuff.
00:52:13:04 – 00:52:37:12
Unknown
Yeah, yeah she does. So it’s good. Another question. I know when I was listening to your telemedicine podcast thing them this square. Do you still not like the square for payments. You you said it was like iffy with HRT stuff. And I don’t know when you made that, you know, made that class I okay. So I love square okay.
00:52:37:12 – 00:53:04:02
Unknown
Fantastic. In the processor. Yeah. The analytics the data. It’s easy to use like I like it. It’s simple okay. So I thought it was up to me. I would use square pretty much of every business I have because I like it. It’s easy. It’s simple. You know, the problem though, is that if you use square and you have a, a clinic, a medical practice mean they red flag things.
00:53:04:04 – 00:53:25:16
Unknown
And so there there’s a terms of service with any payment processor that you agree to before you sign up with them. If you break the terms of service you don’t get sued or anything like that. They just shut your account down. Okay. Right. So with square and a lot of payment processors, they do not like weight loss meds.
00:53:25:18 – 00:53:47:17
Unknown
They do not like hormone, they do not like telemedicine services and everything else for us. Yeah. Right. No. If if you use square, what will happen is you’ll be able to use it for a little while and then then your algorithm will catch what you’re doing and it’ll shut you down. And then you’re going to be like, oh shit, I don’t have a payment processor today.
00:53:47:18 – 00:54:16:09
Unknown
What do we do? You know, I mean, so the trick with square is that you label the transactions very generic things. So for testosterone replacement therapy, if you’re charging them on a subscription basis, you would just say one month. Okay. You know, I got you like, women’s HRT WH1 month semaglutide CW1 like. And then we’ll do, we’ll get a receipt.
00:54:16:09 – 00:54:35:21
Unknown
They’re like, what the hell? CW one, you know what I mean? You have to just like, do things like that. Their algorithm will pick that up if you put semaglutide on there. It’s like lag it in your accounts. You be banned so fast. Okay. So, but so personally to be good. Sorry. Clover still seems to be good though.
00:54:35:21 – 00:55:00:11
Unknown
Like not flagging that much. Correct. We’ve been using Clover at my men’s health clinic for five years about an issue. Okay, I do know I’ve heard from someone before that their clover was banned. I think it was a peptide, I think. What what what triggered that? Okay, so I think just rule of thumb with most payment processors, unless you go with a high risk payment processor.
00:55:00:12 – 00:55:30:07
Unknown
Okay. The rule of thumb is just don’t give them any information that could potentially cause an issue like this. All right. So instead, just when you when you get into the payment processor, you start creating the, the products in your payment processor. Don’t sit don’t put testosterone, five milliliters of semaglutide, you know, 2.5 or whatever, like so just keep the generic names, all right?
00:55:30:08 – 00:55:52:23
Unknown
Generic stuff, things that, you know, patient might not necessarily know that, but that’s fine care whatever is the receipt okay. So that’s just my rule of thumb. And my other rule of thumb is, is that sign up for two just in case, because any processors just will randomly shut you down one day in your IV. What the hell?
00:55:53:01 – 00:56:14:12
Unknown
Like no reason at all. You’re like what? Like why did why was I shut down? Okay, so always have a backup. Use the backup every once in a while to keep it active. All right, so, that’s my recommendation. Have to. Okay. Perfect. Yeah.
00:56:14:13 – 00:56:21:17
Unknown
Your question? I don’t think so.
00:56:21:19 – 00:56:25:16
Unknown
00:56:25:18 – 00:56:50:07
Unknown
No, I think you answered the majority that I had. All right. Yeah, I’ll send you. I like to end the episode with you asking me a question. You have a question for me or a personal curiosity? I mean, I feel like I know you because I’ve listened to you for hours upon hours upon hours. So I do want to just say thank you so much for everything that you’ve taught me.
00:56:50:07 – 00:57:09:18
Unknown
Like it’s all of your classes. I’ve been very educational and very easy to start up, so I do appreciate that. And thank you for what you’re doing for all the nurse practitioners, because being under bosses that are crazy, it’s just sucks. So I am thankful for that. One more question that I did write down was an s-corp.
00:57:09:18 – 00:57:29:16
Unknown
I know I was listening to your thing about you can just do an LLC, but if you expect to make over a certain amount of money than that, you should do an S Corp ad. Yeah. So you’re not going to actually start an S corporation. Okay. You would never want to start an S corporation or a C corporation.
00:57:29:16 – 00:57:51:04
Unknown
The paperwork is a mess. Okay. It’s just it’s it’s just a lot more difficult to just stay up to date with it. You got to file like reports with the state every. Yeah. If you want to do that, it’s it’s it’s a pain in the ass. So do a, you form just an LLC. Yeah. Okay. And then you have your accountant or you do it yourself.
00:57:51:06 – 00:58:17:00
Unknown
You just file a form with the IRS to elect your LLC as an S corporation for tax purposes. So you still have an LLC. You’re still functioning. I have an LLC. You’re just being taxed as an S corp, okay. Which means yes, you’re you have to pay employment taxes. After your salary. So with an S corporation you do pay yourself a reasonable salary.
00:58:17:02 – 00:58:38:06
Unknown
Okay. And then any profit outside of that you just pay yourself as a bonus essentially free of employment taxes. So it’s easier 15% okay. Awesome. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so new to all this stuff. So like I said your classes have just sort of I’m like oh my god what is that? I mean my husband knows a lot of this but he doesn’t do medical.
00:58:38:06 – 00:58:58:12
Unknown
So construction world so completely different. But it’s you’ve helped me tremendously. So thank you so much. All right. You’re welcome. Well, if you ever want to do a follow up, let me know, okay? Yeah. Awesome. Thank you. Take care. Definitely. I’ll take some pictures of my van and send them to you. If you ever come back to Tennessee.
00:58:58:14 – 00:59:18:21
Unknown
Yeah. For sure. Yeah, 100%. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. Shoot them over to me and I’ll, I will be there in probably two months. You might not be open yet. Or maybe you’re just. Oh, I better be open. Okay. I don’t got a choice. I’m going I am go. Yeah. Okay. Good. All right. Cool. Well, except you, everyone, I need their help.
00:59:18:21 – 00:59:37:21
