The Elite NP Podcast Episode 21: Growing a Profitable Men’s Health Side Hustle!

Today we will be talking to Chris who is a family nurse practitioner. Currently he is working as a travel RN as he is making a great income doing this on the side. He recently started a men’s health practice and while it is doing well overall, he is wanting to grow his practice and to integrate more services into it. We discover that it does not take thousands of patients to have a profitable side hustle and that if you can create a practice with just 100 patients, you will have a profitable practice. But if you want to grow past that, it takes a different approach.

Reminder: The Elite Nurse Practitioner Show will be released every Thursday! You can listen to the podcast either directly through the main Elite Nurse Practitioner website (LINK HERE) or your favorite streaming service. The podcast is on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Amazon Music! So, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE AND GIVE US A LIKE AND POSITIVE REVIEW! It would mean the world to me.

Also, be sure to share this with all your other nurse practitioner sisters and brothers. The more people who know the process on how to break free, the better our profession will be!

  1. I enjoyed listening to this podcast with Chris. I also am in Georgia about to start a Men’s Health Clinic. I had a couple of questions.

    1. Is he able to dispense his medication from the clinic in the state of Georgia? I have been researching this and have not found a definite answer. On the medical board website, it doesn’t have NP listed as being able to dispense. So, I was curious what he found out in his research.
    2. How much is he paying for his supervising MD.

    Thanks so much.

    1. April,

      1. I really am not sure if he can or not. I would just contact the BON or BOP and ask.
      2. I do not know that answer either. What you heard in the podcast is really all I know. Collaborators will run $500-1000 a month on average. You can use our network if you need one: https://elitenp.com/physiciannetwork/
