Today we will be talking to Mike, a FNP currently employed at a chiropractor’s office doing regenerative joint injections and functional medicine. He is planning his future exit and his entrepreneurial journey by starting a practice focused on functional medicine, HRT, and weight loss. Mike comes to the show looking for help navigating the business startup process and creating a solid plan.
In this episode, we talk about the importance of focusing on the “$10,000 questions” and not the “$100 questions,” no matter what stage you are in with your practice or business life. You need to focus on the important issues! Also, we talk about how jumping from a full-time job to working full-time on your practice might not be the best idea. We discuss the importance of a gradual transition, and how the safety net of having employment apart from your business when you’re starting will increase your chances of success.
Reminder: The Elite Nurse Practitioner Show will be released every Thursday! You can listen to the podcast directly through the main Elite Nurse Practitioner website or your favorite streaming service. The podcast is on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Amazon Music! So, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE AND GIVE US A LIKE AND POSITIVE REVIEWS! It would mean the world to me.
Also, be sure to share this with all your other nurse practitioner sisters and brothers. The more people who know how to break free, the better our profession will be!
PS If you have a problem in your professional life and need a one-on-one consultation with me and want to be on the show, then PLEASE email me at theelitenp@elitenp.com. This only works if I can interview and consult with YOU!

Just wanted to say I look forward to your podcast! You are such an inspiration and I’m so happy I discovered you. I think my google search was “Is the NP market oversaturated” and the Elite NP showed up. Good stuff!! Thank you for being you and looking out for us 🙂
A pleasure to have helped 🙂 The market is really saturated and it is only getting worse, so be sure to make preparations like we talk about on the site.
