Have a patient with a fire ant sting? Apply toothpaste to the sting.

It does not matter what type of toothpaste you use. Apply a thin strip of toothpaste to the sting for 5-10 minutes and then rinse it off. This will neutralize the poison from the ant bite which will defuse the annoying burn and itch of the sting. It also prevents a lesion from forming!

I have a small tube of toothpaste at the urgent care I work at just for ant bites. This tube has lasted 2 years and has provided relief to dozens of patients. Thank you Crest!
